DAIRY SPECIALIST
ABOUT ME
My name is Pius Zzimbe. I am a Ugandan and a consulting dairy specialist with over 15 years’ experience providing technical support at various levels of the milk flow chain in Uganda’s dairy sub sector. My work involves capacity building and technical guidance in areas of milk collection and bulking operations, value addition and new product development, creating forward and backward linkages by providing integrated management solutions to small, medium and large scale enterprises at various levels of the milk flow chain. I am well acquainted with production processes and quality assurance. I also offer basic technical guidance in dairy farm management. I have participated in a number of project impact surveys and studies. My intervention and work experience is mainly with milk producer organisations and milk processors. I am currently undertaking technical engagements with MADDO Dairies Ltd located in Central Uganda. The MADDO setting is comprised of individual farmers, and producer groups with MCCs that supply milk to MADDO’s milk processing plant.
