ABOUT ME
My name is Jos Aben and I live with my family in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
I grew up on a farm with pigs and arable farming. I also worked at a tree nursery alongside my study horticulture and arable farming. You could say I’m deeply rooted in the agricultural business.
My career started at a consultancy firm that focused strongly on practical cultivation advice for plant propagators, field vegetable growers and arable farmers. The next step was a job at a supply company of all cultivation supplies, very sales-oriented and that suited me well. Later, I had the opportunity to make a commercial contribution to two breeding companies. Soft fruit has a special place in my heart, that’s why I participate in a company specialized in hybrid strawberry seeds. My work as commercial director at a blueberry company is certainly something that gives me a lot of energy. Working with people and literally growing together.
Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together.
