ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Blessing Gumindoga. I am a researcher at the Scientific Industrial Research and Development Centre in Harare, Zimbabwe. Blessing has experience in climate smart food systems with vast experience in research and capacity building programs for smallholder farmers especially in semi-arid regions. I have worked with smallholder farmers to develop resilient and climate smart farm models and inclusive value chain development.
My experience includes development of livestock greenhouse gas inventory at national and at value chain level. I have worked in include life cycle assessment of the dairy sector in Ethiopia and Zimbabwe. Currently I am working on optimising productivity of crop-livestock system with special focus on addressing loss of soil fertility through use of organic fertilisers, livestock production systems program with special focus on sustainable intensification of small ruminant production system in semi-arid regions
